What We Do

The MSD Difference

All of my training programs are focused on one thing: helping you and your dog truly understand each other. Whether it’s solving behavioral issues or raising a puppy the right way, we work hand in hand through the entire process. I give you all the tools you need including functional on/off leash obedience, structured behavior patterns, and the knowledge to translate these tools into a calm, reliable, emotionally balanced dog.

If you’ve worked with trainers before and not found the help you need, don’t worry. Most of my clients were in the same situation. What I do is different. We go deeper into dog psychology, their instinctual needs, and reasons why humans created these amazing creatures in the first place.

If I don’t believe we can achieve the results you’re looking for, I’ll tell you upfront and point you in the right direction.

Calm. Clear. Consistent.

Meet Miles

Miles didn’t grow up planning to become a dog trainer — it started with a dog he loved as a kid. His childhood dog was an escape artist who constantly found ways out of the yard, and after being hit by a car, the experience left a lasting impact on him. For a long time after that, Miles went without having dogs in his life.

Then 2021 changed everything.

During the isolation of the pandemic, a friend needed to rehome their dog, and Miles stepped in. At the time, he was living out of a van, figuring life out one day at a time, but that dog gave him purpose and companionship when he needed it most. Around the same time, he reconnected with a longtime friend who was already training dogs professionally. That friendship opened the door to the dog training world — and Miles never looked back.

What started as curiosity quickly became obsession. Miles immersed himself in learning canine behavior, communication, and the relationship between dogs and their owners. Today, his approach is built around creating clarity, trust, and real-world reliability so dogs and people can confidently navigate life together.

Our Services

In-Home Boarding

Our in-home boarding program is designed to create lasting, real-world results through structure, consistency, and daily guidance. Your dog lives alongside us while we work through foundational skills, behavior challenges, and advanced obedience in a variety of real-life environments — helping them learn how to stay calm, engaged, and responsive around everyday scenarios. Once your dog is ready, we guide you through the transition with private coaching sessions so you feel confident maintaining everything they’ve learned at boarding.

Private Sessions

Our private training sessions are designed to help you and your dog build a clear, reliable system of communication together. We focus on your specific goals, challenges, and lifestyle while coaching you through the process step-by-step — giving you the tools to create lasting change outside of the session itself. Training takes place in real-world environments so your dog learns how to stay engaged, responsive, and confident in everyday situations.

Service Dog PAT Evaluation & Certification

Our Public Access Test (PAT) program is designed for dogs who are ready to confidently navigate the real world alongside their handler. We focus on reliable obedience, calm neutrality, and clear communication in everyday public environments — from busy sidewalks to stores, restaurants, airports, and other high-distraction settings. PAT certification can help demonstrate that your dog is trained to behave appropriately in public spaces, including situations such as air travel and other service dog accommodations. This evaluation reflects the consistency, structure, and trust built between you and your dog throughout the training process.
